Ignorance

God is good, loves infinitely, forgives infinitely and offers all that is best. Despite man’s ignorance and negligence, God continues to offer, to love, to wait. He is a patient, understanding and gentle God. He created a beautiful man both inside and out. He gave him the most beautiful and the best gifts. Man, however, wants to ‘progress’. And how else than ignoring God, even denying Him?!

Man believes himself to be a creator. He believes that all his possessions belong to him and they belong to him unconditionally. Man believes that evolution is due to his nature and that the beauty around him is the result of his work. Man believes that he can be a creator himself.

Man looks around nature and loves what he sees. He thinks it’s the result of his work. Man looks at other people and he is proud of him. He thinks it’s the result of his evolution. Man looks at animals and admires their beauty. He thinks he deserves to admire and to enjoy them. Man looks at the sky and believes that he is the supreme master of everything, that there is no other god but him.

The true God looks mercifully to the earth He created. He does not regret that He created man and earth. He still loves man. He has patience with him. He knows that all creation belongs to him and that it is His supreme gift to man. He tried to put a piece of Him in nature in the hope that man would recognize his signature. He tried to put pieces of Him in some people maybe, maybe they will learn from each other. God tried to leave his signature on the fur of animals and on the feathers of birds, hoping that man would see Him at least there. He tried to hide in colours, in beauty, in the scent of flowers, in the chirping of birds, hoping that the man would eventually find him.

But man ignored everything. Man prefers his own person and he is satisfied with the limitation of his own mind. He attributes all the merits to himself, especially those that do not belong to him, and believes that he can meet happiness on his own. Man likes to be small, limited, insignificant. He likes to stay in an ugly but familiar place, when he could enjoy infinite but unknown beauties indefinitely. He likes to play the creator with a work of art that does not understand and that does not belong to him, when he could be part of the infinite beauty of the true Artist.
